wow, has it really been 6 months!?!?

Well, I guess it's time for me to get my act in gear and start to spill my mind into this thing called blogging.

So, where am I at RIGHT NOW. So many things are going on in my world. Work is going well.....as long as I can stay in the truck with Raleigh & not have to deal with the ownership. Isn't it funny how God uses our circumstances to shape his plan into our reality.....allow me to explain.

I love pianos (can't play yet but I love em). When I went to work for DTPM I really felt like I found/refound a passion and something I could feel good about doing. We (DTPM & I) had some good plans for the future and things went along seemlessly at first. As it became time for us to start moving forward with our plans, things/our relationship got REALLY STRESSED. At the same time my father-in-law and I started getting serious about me and refinishing pianos (I'll tell you more in future posts). I don't know if any of this makes sense or not (remember I'm new at this blogging thing).....the one thing I need most right now is prayer. Prayer that God's direction will continue to unfold unfold and IT WILL HAPPEN SOON!

There. I did it, I finally posted again.......now feed the fire and respond :)

Day 1

Well, I've been talking about doing one of these for a year.....so finally, here goes!

I'm not totally comfortable with process of spilling out my thoughts & feelings (a peak into the mind of Mike) so I will just start to dump & we'll see where it goes.

I am very excited that we are FINALLY IN THE FIRST WEEK OF APRIL A.K.A. Opening week of baseball season!!! Being a Cubs fan, I am more excited about this season than I have been in a while. You see, since the White Sox won the title last year and broke the "curse of the black sox" my beloved Cubbies are the only curse left in baseball.........SO HERE WE GO!!!!

In more ways than just baseball, I am very anxious to see what the next couple of months hold, especially from the God perspective. Have you ever found yourself at a point where you really need to "hear from God" in an undeniable way. That would be the place that I & my family find ourselves, RIGHT NOW.

As the parents of two INCREDIBLE KIDS, Heather & I are acutely aware of the impact of our decisions & the directions we decide to take our family. I find myself pressing in to God, as much if not more, for the impact our decisions will have on them.

I know that we serve a loving God who has a Big plan & there are several choices we have that, ultimately, take us to the same place. It is with that thougtht that I try and rest my spirit in his hands.
